You know what I want to do?

I want to learn to play an instrument. I have a piano and a harmonica, just no motivation to learn how to play. Its horrible. I hate it, I want to learn but I just can't. Well I could but I don't want to have to. You know what I mean?

Sometimes I wonder if I have ADD or ADHD. Someone told me they read something about how studies have shown that people that do somethings with their left hand and other things with their right hand, are more likely to have those disorders. I'm mostly wondering this because I havn't been able to learn an instrument. I start and I don't finish because......Idk, dosn't keep me interested. Maybe its because I havn't found an instrument that has truly interested me. *sigh* I'm not sure. Problem of living in a village sometimes.

ANYWAYS I need to adjust my draw weight on my bow. I just don't understand how to do it but I think I could figure it out eventually. If not then I'm just gonna take it to anchorage or something.

Ok so I just watched the first episode of "Hook, Line, and Sisters" on TLC. Its a show about this family that fishes salmon in our village. They talk about herring fishing and then they get into salmon fishing. I fish and I love it. My dads boat is called the Bailey Louise, and no that is not my middle name. Its my grandmothers name. His boat was called the Endurance. He made it wider and bigger down in Hoquiam. Guy named Howard Moe. But anyways, he was down there for eight months.

Well I had just been thinking about the new year. There are a few things that I would like to do. Either finish or get really far on my spanish, and either learn the harmonica or piano. My dad thinks the piano is better but I'm not sure, I could take my harmonica anywhere! I want to learn how to play Zeldas lullaby on something. I also think I would like to learn the guitar but I don't have one or have anyone to teach me. So I'm not sure what I'm gonna do.

Christmas!

Ok, I don't know about you guys, but my Christmas was awesome! I got to spend lots of time with my "fake" family. My fauntys and funcles and franmas and frampas and my fuosins!

I didn't get what I exactly wanted but I still got some pretty cool stuff. I'm happy.

 26 inch R/C Helicopter
Blue tooth headset
Assassins Creed: Blood Lines for my PSP
Two Sims expansion pack
New version of Microsoft office
A compound bow and some arrows
 I got some clothes
Three hours of quality time with my cousin

I know that last one isn't really a gift but I consider it a gift. My cousin doesn't spend much time with me.

Well on Christmas morning, I got up at 7:30 and at 8, I went with my Faunty and Funcle and we went and drove to everyones house and opened presents. Then I went back to my house and opened my gifts. I spend about an hour looking through everything. It was fun.

I took my helicopter to my schools gym and flew it and figured out the controls and everything. Although its taking too long to charge again. I will be back here tomorrow, flying it again.

Well I hope you guys had a good Christmas because I know I did!

Winter break

Well winter break is finally here. Ok, so I'm gonna tell you a story. So I was waiting for the plane, down at the air feild. And I was sitting in a truck and there were a few other trucks. But we were about there for an hour. So we were listening to some music and my funcle (fake uncle) starts singing along to all the songs he knows. It was funny. Not too long ago he was "running" on a treadmill and decided to try and jump over the trees that appeared on the screen. It wasn't a very good idea :D

But anyways, so I was talking to one of my friends today and he was saying how my life is so differnt from his and so I should put "normal" storys from my life on my blog. Like burning boxes or fishing or stuff like that. I guess I could, maybe then I wouldn't be asked "Do you live in an igloo?" "Have you seen a polar bear?"

YEA, I LIVE IN AN IGLOO! IT HAS TWO STORYS AND IN THE SPING WE HAVE TO BE CAREFUL BECAUSE THE PIANO LIKES TO FALL THROUGH THE FLOOR! AND MY PET IS A POLAR BEAR, HIS NAME IS FRED!!!

I hoped you people noticed that the caps meant sarcasm but if you didn't then.....I don't know about you.

I actually read something not too long ago that had said that people who didn't understand sarcasm, weren't as smart as people who did. Almost everyone uses sarcasm. I use sarcasm all the time. So yea

BUT ANYWAYS! Well tomorrows Christmas eve? I think so, so that means the day after that is CHRISTMAS! Sounds lots of fun huh? I think it will be, getting to hang with family and all.

So yea, thats it for now so I will.....idk watch movies :-/

SNOW!

Ok so last night we got dumped on with like a foot and a half of snow. But the nice thing about this morning is that its not really cold out. Its like the perfect temp. Sure, it only has to be like 30 degrees out but I'm an Alaskan. ALASKANS DON'T FEAR THE COLD! THE COLD FEARS ALASKANS! :D

Ok, I just started the last Percy Jackson book last night. Its by Rick Riordan. There are five books total and I finally get to read the last one. I tell you, if I didn't spend as much on books, I'd have a lot more money. But then I'd spend it on something else. When I'm down in Washington with my mom, I'll go to the book store like five times.

You know, something I find amazing is the still almost unnoticeable discrimination between men and women. I was watching 60 Minutes I think, and there was an actress on there. Meryl Streep is her name. She said something along the lines of "People never asked men to play the role of a strong minded man. Men are assumed to have opinions about things. But they will still ask a woman to play the role of a strong minded woman."Have you ever heard of the fact that for every dollar a man makes, a women will only make 70 cents? I'm not sure if thats still true but I just remembered that.

Christmas is REALLY close now! I think its on like Sunday. Winter break starts in four days!!!! So Thursday! Its super exciting! I hope my mukluks get in soon......If you don't know what those are, they are boots, made out of fur. Thats it.

Sometimes I think it would be cool to get to know the people who read my blog. I know! I could post my email on my profile and you could email me! If you want. I'm not trying to be weird. But yea, I would just like to see what you people think of my blog.......ah I'm being weird. BUT ANYWAYS!

Well I'm gonna go and stop procrastinating. Blah

To many things to do

You ever have those times in your life where you just have too much stuff to do? This is one of those times. I will make a list of the things that I need to do at some point.

Reread battle books
Finish my book that I'm writing
Finish my Africa Crisis poster
Start my Spanish again because my computer was stupid
Become more motivated somehow
Look over the lesson plans to the Kindness lesson that I will be doing with our elementary students
Fix the few holes in my tire so I don't have to keep pumping it up
Work on my mood swings
Clean my house and my bed room
Start my Phase 3 application
Help the world
Help someone become a better person
Get more sleep
Try and figure out what I want to do in college

Thats just a few and I know a few of them are a little out of range but maybe one day.

I am so glad that Christmas is right around the corner. I can't wait until break. It'll be lonely for awhile but it'll be fun too. We got snowed on and everything has a crusty layer of white snow on it. It looks pretty cool.

Also, something I forgot to mention. I didn't make it out yesterday for Dillingham. I don't think I'm gonna try today because I'd leave tomorrow. What fun would that be?

My principal was asking about my book. I am way behind. I only have a little over 12K and I feel like my story is wrapping up too fast. Well I guess I just keep writing. Thats what the first draft is for, right?

But you know what? Something great in my life is all the great friends I have. The people I talk to in the middle of the night on FB or at school events. The people that I have fun/awkward times with. Or even the people that I spend time with and we laugh over the dumbest things. I have a lot of good people in my life. People that are awesome, funny, kind, caring and many other things. People who help me and cheer me up when I'm sad or not doing so good. If any of you are reading this, you know who you are :D

But anyways, just needed to get that down.

I know a few of you are probably thinking that I have a lot of time to figure out what I want to do in college. I'm in 11th grade so that basically means I have three years right? Well yes, but I just want to make sure I know what I want to do.

Well I think thats it for now, I started a poem so I think I will post that when I'm done.

Video Games and Eagles

How many of you people watched the Spike TV's Video Game Awards? I'm watching a recording at the moment. I know in my post I talked about donating, well I have another one that the VGA's talked about.

A charity that is dedicated to getting video games to needy childern in hospitals.

Isn't that awesome? I read an article once that said that childern that had to go through lenghy medical processes like dialysis or something, that having video games helps pass the time and keep them calm. So yea.

It snowed last night, I woke up and there was snow every where. Visablity isn't too good but I think it'll pass.

Oh that reminds me, you want to know what happened on Friday??? A eagle landed on a power line and started smoking and sparking. I think it damaged a transformer because I think I have either a high or low voltage in my house o_O not good.

Ok, not sure what to say so I think thats it for now :D

Helping the World

Ok, most of you should know about all the problems we have in the world. Hunger, sickness, civil war, regular wars, economy problems and so on. And helping isn't exactly always easy. Well if you do want to help, I have a few websites that you can use.

Donates ten grains of rice each time a word is matched with the definition.

Donates 1.1 cups of food to someone whose hunger. There are also other links to websites on the top about the rain forest and animals.

You can actually donate money or you can even buy chickens that will be given to families. Few different charities.

If you donate $10 dollars to a Japan or Haiti fund, you will be able to download an album that has songs from a few different artists.

A website that will donate a penny to whatever cause you choose when you search. My school has one "Chignik Lagoon School" it would be really helpful to us. Powered by Yahoo.

Has a lot of links to websites that you can use to help donate to different causes.

Those are just a few I found. I have to donate over the internet mostly because I live in a village but maybe if you live in a city, you can help by doing other things. Even donating in your own community. Time, money, food, anything will help. Or you could even join or start an organization. Say you want to help stop global warming, organize a group that will go and plant and take care of trees.

"It isn't that we say, "It doesn't matter about me all that much, but if I changed the world, it would be better for other people." It's less complicated than that. We don't set out to save the world; we set out to wonder how other people are doing and to reflect on how our actions affect other people's hearts."

*Enter witty title here*

Ok.......not sure what to say...
Something I want to share is another quote from my teacher.

"Close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades"

I agree, anyways. You know how I was talking about the new Zelda game? Well I got it in! I got it in on Friday and got through the first dungeon yesterday. Its pretty awesome, in my opnion.

Ok I stole this idea from Josh's blog post. A list of things he wanted for Christmas. I know, I have to steal stuff from other peoples blogs, don't hate me. To make up for it, here is a link to his blog AGAIN. But I think he would appreciate the veiws. Josh's Blog Ok this is my list.

A PS3 and a few games (COD Black Ops, Brink, Portal 2, stuff like that)
Good internet
All the Sims 3 expansion packs
Skyrim
Plane ticket to Hawaii, go hog hunting and wind surfing and all the fun stuff
Carhartt pants
Books and more room for books
A few new CDs
Some good earbuds
Either a long bow or a recurve bow
POKEMON GAMES!

I can't really think of anything else but I know there is more.

We don't really have any snow. It all melted.
Well I think thats everything for now. :D

Guns

Ok, who else besides me thinks it would be so awesome to get to fire a fully automatic machine gun? Or how about a sniper rifle? They say it takes 70 muscles to frown but only 4 to pull the trigger of a decent sniper rifle. Haha but anyways.

I've noticed that I've had people from Germany looking at my blog. How awesome is that! Thank you, whoever you are. Haha, I wonder how they heard about my blog, if its more then one person or something. I'm not sure. I was just thinking of one time, one of my friends who blogs said on his blog that he had people from like Romania or something. So I thought I would do the same. You can find his blog here.

Ok, show of hands for how many of you like Pringles. I know a few hands are going up. :D Pringles are awesome, you have to admit that.

So now that Thanksgiving has past, I know people are getting all hyped up over Christmas being so close.

Well I have been working on this post for about three days. I don't have much to say I suppose. So I think I'll finally end it :)

Turkey Day and Christmas shopping

As most of you know, yesterday was Thanksgiving! Lots of good food and lots of food babys :D We had a community potluck and there was a lot of food. Everyone had a lot of fun. One thing that I'm thankful for is being able to be around family so much. Getting to grow up in a village has its upsides and its down sides. But in a village, everyone is family.

Today I ordered Christmas gifts for everyone. I was hoping to have enough to buy a PS3 but I don't think I will. I could just order myself Skyrim instead. I only need about $50 to be able to buy myself a PS3. But anyways, buying gifts is difficult because I never got a straight answer when I asked people.

We've been getting some snow lately. Its been below freezing a lot lately. I hope we get lots os snow. Snow is always fun.

Meh I'm not sure what to talk about so I think thats about it for now :)

Quotes

I love quotes, as you might have read in my last post. Another quote that my teacher has put up around the classroom is,

"When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the systems game. The establishment will irritate you: pull your beard, flick your face to make you fight. Because once they've got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don't know how to handle is non-violence and humor." ~ John Lennon

Thanksgiving is just around the corner this week! A great time for food and family. I love food. :D

I've been trying to do my Christmas shopping. I'm not sure of what anyone wants so I might just have to wing it haha. I'm going to stay in my village for Christmas break. My mom is going down to Washington so I get to stay here with my dad. But I think I'm going to try to convince him to take me to Hawaii after my mom gets back :D I want to go boar hunting and marlin fishing.

Last night I finished a book called The Fox Inheritance by Mary E. Pearson. It was a very good book, a sequel to the book The Adoration of Jenna Fox. They are both very good books. I started a book called Maximum Ride: Schools Out Forever by James Patterson. Its the second book of a series. The first book is called Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment.

I am waiting for the new Zelda game to be shipped to my house. Its called The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I ordered it in June because one of my friends told me about it and he said it would be out in that month...Well 5 months later and it was finally released. I've wanted to buy The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim because it looks like it would be a lot of fun. I am a nerd and its awesome.

Well thats all for now I suppose, I'm not sure what else I should write so yea :)

Changing the World

I am reading this book called The Gospel According To Larry by Janet Tashjian and the guy in the book wants to try and change the world. It made me think of when I went to a Youth Leadership Symposium in Dillingham, AK, and it made me want to change something. Someones life or maybe more then one life. I've noticed that sometimes, some books just make sense. Another book like that is Little Brother by Cory Doctorow.

My teacher likes to put up little quotes and pictures she finds on the internet and they all make sense. Like this one that says,

"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience...Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. Thats our problem." ~ Howard Zinn

Makes sense doesn't it? It might not to some of you but it made sense to me. There is another quote but I do not feel like typing it at the moment, so I will do it some other time. I love quotes, they are just so inspirational sometimes.

I have started listening to some podcasts that one of my friends told me about. One is called RadioLab. And the other is called Bioneers. RadioLab is more about scientific subjects. A few I've listened to are about things such as stress, the mind and who you are and I started one about sleep but havn't listened to it all the way. Bioneers are more about inspirational subjects. One was about how we live in a world of chemicals and how we are ruining the earth. They are really great podcasts. I would recommend them to anybody. My friend told me it was like subliminal learning because you could put them on your iPod and do other things while still learning about things.

Thats all for now :D

Dictionary.com

I really love dictionary.com I use it a lot. And I like the beta program Word Dynamo. Since I have started writing my book, I have also used thesaurus.com a lot because I don't like having to use the same words over and over.

But anyways. It snowed last night and left about two inches of snow on our ground. Its just raining now. Rain rain rain. I don't mind it all that much.
The view from my class room windows. Its raining
You probably can't tell that its raining but it is.

I just finished a book and I'm almost done with another one. The first one was called Full Tilt by Neal Shusterman. I like his books. One of my favorite was Unwind but I have a hard time with picking favorites. This one was ok, it wasn't one of my favorites but I still liked it.

The book I'm almost done with is called The Transall Saga by Gary Paulsen. I don't read very many of his books. I like fantasy books but I liked this one. I've read it before so it was just wanting to reread it. I actually just finished it a little bit ago. Now I am reading The Gospel According to Larry by Janet Tashjian.

Well thats about it for now I think. Hasn't been to eventful here. Have a great weekend guys!

POKEMON!!!!

Yes, I love Pokemon but who doesn't? I only wish that it wasn't made for the DS. I'm not a fan of DS's but you can't play Pokemon on anything else. Bleh, I also bought the game Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii. It actually kind of sucked. Theres not

My book has been going really well. I have almost 5000 words. I am way behind but so what? I'll get done eventually. Haha

Next Monday, we are leaving for our District V-ball Tourney. Very fun but tiring. I won't be able to work on my book either :/ Its been fun. Tommorow most people who are praticipating are going to try and write 11,000 words *gasp* I know, thats a lot of words. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do it.

I suppose I could tell you guys a little about my book.

An Alaska Native girl named Ash who is 16 years old gets her life changed by one of the things she loves the most. Music. She then notices these creatures called the "Lights and Darks". They influence peoples music taste. "Lights" influence happy music. "Darks" influence depressing music. She has to try and help the "Lights" keep balance. Ash then meets a boy named Kris. They become best friends.

To tell you guys the truth, I'm not sure whats going to happen after that because I havn't wrote that part yet. I will update you every so often :D

National Novel Writing Month!

Well some of you may know that this is National Novel Writing Month. There is a website on it. I decided to join and try to write a novel. If I can't write it in a month, oh well, I'll probably have a good amount of it. One of my friends, whose blog you can find here, she is also participating and so I decided I would too because I kinda had an idea for a book.

But other then that, I love Monster Hunter. Mostly a game for the PSP but there is also one for the Wii. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is the one I play. One of my friends who used to live here let me borrow his PSP once and I got into playing it so I got my own PSP. After awhile, I got the Wii version, called Monster Hunter Tri. I get stuck a lot but its fun.

My school gets in boxes of apples to eat and the most recent one was a box of apples that are probably on steroids. Heres a picture. Its about a normal sized crayon, just slightly used.
I know, its not right at all. But they are good apples. We can't get much fresh stuff out here so we take what we get.
Listening to "Had Enough" by Papa Roach, Metamorphosis. Good album and a good band.

Alutiiq

Cama'i! It means Hello. I've been learning Alutiiq! I am very glad we can, its dieing. You can find a link to the Alutiiq Museum here. We have been learning the song "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" but it dosnt go with the tune. Haha :D

But anyways, its starting to get really cold here. Find frost on my 4-wheeler (everyone here calls them hondas no matter the brand but I dont have a honda, I have a polaris). I live the farthest away from school, although its not very far. It seems like that way when theres ice on the road.

Halloween was fun, me and my friend went and went to all the houses. Got an ok amount of candy. My friend gave me a BATMAN shirt for taking care of her fish when she was gone. Batman is awesome, no arguement there.

I love music, I don't understand why people wouldn't. Its just awesome.

Well idk what to say. So I'm just gonna end this here :)

Smiley Face Cookie

Just sitting here, listening to my music. I personally love Linkin Park. They have been my fav band for a few years. I've been ordering demo CDs and different, off the wall CDs just to get some of the songs I've found on Youtube.

I like a lot of differnt music. Some bands such as Three Days Grace, Disturbed, Papa Roach, One Republic, Rammstein and Seether. But those are just a few. One of my favorite songs from Linkin Park is "My December"

Something that happened today that was kinda cool was that I found a cookie that looked like a smiley face. I stole a bag of cookies from my cousins house and was eating and for some reason I needed to show it to him and he was like "That looks like a happy face" and it did! I took a picture with my ipod.

OH I just thought of another good band....well acouple. Escape The Fate and Dead By Sunrise.

Lately I've been wanting to get my own PS3. I found a really good bundle on Amazon for a good price. Haha but I'm fine with my PSP at the moment. But maybe one day.

Well I think thats it for now :D I've just felt like blogging lately. That might slow down but idk

The Elder Scrolls

:D The Elder Scrolls series is awesome! I know I'm not the only one to think that. I know a few people who like it. I read a lot of articles about the new game today, Skyrim. IT SOUNDS AWESOME! It also comes out on 11-11-11.......doesn't everything? Few movies and game and stuff like that. Probably weddings too. I know of a wedding thats happening on that date.

Today was like total nerd day for me. I spend a few hours looking up articles about video games, talked about it with my friends, and played a few for awhile. Metal Gear Solid, Pokemon, Monster Hunter, Oblivion and I think thats it.

But anyways....hmm I'm not sure what to write.

I wish tommorow wasn't monday. But it is halloween! I'm gonna go as a fishermen. Grundens and Xtra Tuffs! Original, isn't it? Hahah :) You know you're jealous.

At the moment, I am watching VH1 Top 20 Video Countdown. Most of the time, its how I find new music. I remeber how acouple years ago, it was metal and alternative all the time. One of my friends says that it goes back and forth every couple of years.

I wish blogger had more fonts. But whatever.

Hmm well its raining here at the moment. Yes it was random, I know you're thinking it. Don't lie to me, I know you thought it. Haha I am random and I know a lot of random things, such as what the name of the little plastic or metal thing at the end of your shoe lace is *gasp*.  And no, I did not just look it up. Its called an "aglet" Haha

Well I think thats all for now, I hope all you guys have an awesome halloween and be safe and blah blah blah :D

My new blog

Hi there, lately I have been trying to figure out if I should or should not make my own blog. Well I decided to. This is not my first blog, I started and ran a blog for my school, which you can find here.

My name is Bailey Anderson. I live in Alaska, in a small village that has about 50 people in the winter and about 200 in the summer. Big jump, I know. We are a commercail salmon fishing village. And no, I do not live in a igloo or have seen a polar bear. You would not believe how many times me or my parents have gotten asked that. AND 40 degrees is NOT cold. Its actully quite perfect. I also have three dogs, who I love very much. I am also 36% Alaskan Aluet.

Something else about me is that I love my music. Hopefully you figure that out from my blog name. I also love to read books. Mostly fantasy, I have a few favorite authors. I'm also really into video games!

Hmm....what else.....well my school is part of a district that has about 13 schools in an area about the size of West Virginia. In my school, I am student govnerment president and volleyball team captain. People call me Mr. President, Captain Awesome, Captain President and lots of other things.

I love being in a village and have my whole life. I may miss out on some things but I get to do so many things that city people don't. :) I'm not sure how my posting habits will be like but I will update every so often.
