Guns

Ok, who else besides me thinks it would be so awesome to get to fire a fully automatic machine gun? Or how about a sniper rifle? They say it takes 70 muscles to frown but only 4 to pull the trigger of a decent sniper rifle. Haha but anyways.

I've noticed that I've had people from Germany looking at my blog. How awesome is that! Thank you, whoever you are. Haha, I wonder how they heard about my blog, if its more then one person or something. I'm not sure. I was just thinking of one time, one of my friends who blogs said on his blog that he had people from like Romania or something. So I thought I would do the same. You can find his blog here.

Ok, show of hands for how many of you like Pringles. I know a few hands are going up. :D Pringles are awesome, you have to admit that.

So now that Thanksgiving has past, I know people are getting all hyped up over Christmas being so close.

Well I have been working on this post for about three days. I don't have much to say I suppose. So I think I'll finally end it :)

Turkey Day and Christmas shopping

As most of you know, yesterday was Thanksgiving! Lots of good food and lots of food babys :D We had a community potluck and there was a lot of food. Everyone had a lot of fun. One thing that I'm thankful for is being able to be around family so much. Getting to grow up in a village has its upsides and its down sides. But in a village, everyone is family.

Today I ordered Christmas gifts for everyone. I was hoping to have enough to buy a PS3 but I don't think I will. I could just order myself Skyrim instead. I only need about $50 to be able to buy myself a PS3. But anyways, buying gifts is difficult because I never got a straight answer when I asked people.

We've been getting some snow lately. Its been below freezing a lot lately. I hope we get lots os snow. Snow is always fun.

Meh I'm not sure what to talk about so I think thats about it for now :)

Quotes

I love quotes, as you might have read in my last post. Another quote that my teacher has put up around the classroom is,

"When it gets down to having to use violence, then you are playing the systems game. The establishment will irritate you: pull your beard, flick your face to make you fight. Because once they've got you violent, then they know how to handle you. The only thing they don't know how to handle is non-violence and humor." ~ John Lennon

Thanksgiving is just around the corner this week! A great time for food and family. I love food. :D

I've been trying to do my Christmas shopping. I'm not sure of what anyone wants so I might just have to wing it haha. I'm going to stay in my village for Christmas break. My mom is going down to Washington so I get to stay here with my dad. But I think I'm going to try to convince him to take me to Hawaii after my mom gets back :D I want to go boar hunting and marlin fishing.

Last night I finished a book called The Fox Inheritance by Mary E. Pearson. It was a very good book, a sequel to the book The Adoration of Jenna Fox. They are both very good books. I started a book called Maximum Ride: Schools Out Forever by James Patterson. Its the second book of a series. The first book is called Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment.

I am waiting for the new Zelda game to be shipped to my house. Its called The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword. I ordered it in June because one of my friends told me about it and he said it would be out in that month...Well 5 months later and it was finally released. I've wanted to buy The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim because it looks like it would be a lot of fun. I am a nerd and its awesome.

Well thats all for now I suppose, I'm not sure what else I should write so yea :)

Changing the World

I am reading this book called The Gospel According To Larry by Janet Tashjian and the guy in the book wants to try and change the world. It made me think of when I went to a Youth Leadership Symposium in Dillingham, AK, and it made me want to change something. Someones life or maybe more then one life. I've noticed that sometimes, some books just make sense. Another book like that is Little Brother by Cory Doctorow.

My teacher likes to put up little quotes and pictures she finds on the internet and they all make sense. Like this one that says,

"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience...Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. Thats our problem." ~ Howard Zinn

Makes sense doesn't it? It might not to some of you but it made sense to me. There is another quote but I do not feel like typing it at the moment, so I will do it some other time. I love quotes, they are just so inspirational sometimes.

I have started listening to some podcasts that one of my friends told me about. One is called RadioLab. And the other is called Bioneers. RadioLab is more about scientific subjects. A few I've listened to are about things such as stress, the mind and who you are and I started one about sleep but havn't listened to it all the way. Bioneers are more about inspirational subjects. One was about how we live in a world of chemicals and how we are ruining the earth. They are really great podcasts. I would recommend them to anybody. My friend told me it was like subliminal learning because you could put them on your iPod and do other things while still learning about things.

Thats all for now :D

Dictionary.com

I really love dictionary.com I use it a lot. And I like the beta program Word Dynamo. Since I have started writing my book, I have also used thesaurus.com a lot because I don't like having to use the same words over and over.

But anyways. It snowed last night and left about two inches of snow on our ground. Its just raining now. Rain rain rain. I don't mind it all that much.
The view from my class room windows. Its raining
You probably can't tell that its raining but it is.

I just finished a book and I'm almost done with another one. The first one was called Full Tilt by Neal Shusterman. I like his books. One of my favorite was Unwind but I have a hard time with picking favorites. This one was ok, it wasn't one of my favorites but I still liked it.

The book I'm almost done with is called The Transall Saga by Gary Paulsen. I don't read very many of his books. I like fantasy books but I liked this one. I've read it before so it was just wanting to reread it. I actually just finished it a little bit ago. Now I am reading The Gospel According to Larry by Janet Tashjian.

Well thats about it for now I think. Hasn't been to eventful here. Have a great weekend guys!

POKEMON!!!!

Yes, I love Pokemon but who doesn't? I only wish that it wasn't made for the DS. I'm not a fan of DS's but you can't play Pokemon on anything else. Bleh, I also bought the game Pokemon Battle Revolution for the Wii. It actually kind of sucked. Theres not

My book has been going really well. I have almost 5000 words. I am way behind but so what? I'll get done eventually. Haha

Next Monday, we are leaving for our District V-ball Tourney. Very fun but tiring. I won't be able to work on my book either :/ Its been fun. Tommorow most people who are praticipating are going to try and write 11,000 words *gasp* I know, thats a lot of words. I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do it.

I suppose I could tell you guys a little about my book.

An Alaska Native girl named Ash who is 16 years old gets her life changed by one of the things she loves the most. Music. She then notices these creatures called the "Lights and Darks". They influence peoples music taste. "Lights" influence happy music. "Darks" influence depressing music. She has to try and help the "Lights" keep balance. Ash then meets a boy named Kris. They become best friends.

To tell you guys the truth, I'm not sure whats going to happen after that because I havn't wrote that part yet. I will update you every so often :D

National Novel Writing Month!

Well some of you may know that this is National Novel Writing Month. There is a website on it. I decided to join and try to write a novel. If I can't write it in a month, oh well, I'll probably have a good amount of it. One of my friends, whose blog you can find here, she is also participating and so I decided I would too because I kinda had an idea for a book.

But other then that, I love Monster Hunter. Mostly a game for the PSP but there is also one for the Wii. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is the one I play. One of my friends who used to live here let me borrow his PSP once and I got into playing it so I got my own PSP. After awhile, I got the Wii version, called Monster Hunter Tri. I get stuck a lot but its fun.

My school gets in boxes of apples to eat and the most recent one was a box of apples that are probably on steroids. Heres a picture. Its about a normal sized crayon, just slightly used.
I know, its not right at all. But they are good apples. We can't get much fresh stuff out here so we take what we get.
Listening to "Had Enough" by Papa Roach, Metamorphosis. Good album and a good band.

Alutiiq

Cama'i! It means Hello. I've been learning Alutiiq! I am very glad we can, its dieing. You can find a link to the Alutiiq Museum here. We have been learning the song "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" but it dosnt go with the tune. Haha :D

But anyways, its starting to get really cold here. Find frost on my 4-wheeler (everyone here calls them hondas no matter the brand but I dont have a honda, I have a polaris). I live the farthest away from school, although its not very far. It seems like that way when theres ice on the road.

Halloween was fun, me and my friend went and went to all the houses. Got an ok amount of candy. My friend gave me a BATMAN shirt for taking care of her fish when she was gone. Batman is awesome, no arguement there.

I love music, I don't understand why people wouldn't. Its just awesome.

Well idk what to say. So I'm just gonna end this here :)
